Craig A. Cohen currently serves as the Chair of the Complex Litigation Department where he specializes in the representation of the insurance industry in the defense of class actions and bad faith matters nationwide. In particular, Mr. Cohen represents major insurance carriers in the defense of actions concerning their claims, underwriting, and actuarial practices. Additionally, his group serves as coordinating counsel to several major insurance carriers, managing the defense of complex litigation and class actions across the country.

In addition, Mr. Cohen is responsible for the creation of and continued management of Up to Speed: The Automobile Insurance and Collision Industry Research Report, a nationally distributed report focused on important legal developments in the automobile insurance and collision repair industries. He has also written numerous articles on various topics relating to litigation in the insurance industry. Mr. Cohen lectures frequently across the United States on insurance business practices, class action law, and bad faith.

Mr. Cohen's litigation victories include defense verdicts in the widely publicized cases of Pack Brothers v. Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. and Tuttle v. Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co., both multi-week complex jury trials involving issues of unfair trade practices, insurer steering, and defamation. In addition, he was successful in obtaining dismissal before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals of a $20 billion federal antitrust class action (Gilchrist v. State Farm, et al.) involving insurance rate-making issues. Mr. Cohen was also successful in defeating class certification in Adams v. Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co., a Texas putative class action involving material damage claims practices.
